Option 1: free, with no time limit and no nag wall

Scry's free tier is not a trial. On Mac, Windows, and the browser you get a complete single-monitor remote session: full keyboard and mouse control, primary-display streaming, clipboard text sync, automatic quality tuning, session chat, reconnect on a network flap — over a transport-encrypted WebRTC connection. No watermark. No session length cap. No “commercial use detected” wall. If single-screen access to one machine is all you need, you never pay anything.

Option 2: pay once — $99 lifetime

If you want the scale-up features, Scry Pro is $99 one-time for lifetime — or $4.99/month / $39.99/year if you'd rather. A true one-time purchase is rare in this category; most competitors only rent. Pro adds multi-monitor switching, audio streaming, file transfer, trusted device sharing, Stealth Mode, and session recording — and includes the iOS and Android apps. These Pro features are currently in preview while Scry finishes wiring them up at the 0.1.x stage; the lifetime price is locked, the feature set is still maturing, and we'd rather tell you that than oversell it.

What “pay once” actually saves you

A typical subscription remote desktop runs anywhere from a few dollars to roughly thirty dollars per month depending on the brand. At the low end that's on the order of $70/year; at the high end several hundred dollars/year — every year, forever. Scry's lifetime tier is $99 total. The free tier is $0 total. We deliberately don't name exact competitor numbers here because they change — the comparison pages do that with dated, verified prices.

The honest caveats

• The iOS and Android apps are Pro-only — there is no free mobile tier.
